Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh meets with Ireland's Simon Coveney via video-conference

 

Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh today briefed via video conference Simon Coveney, Ireland's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence on the ongoing efforts to hold the general elections in Palestine, the government's response to COVDI-19, the arrangements for the AHLC meeting to be held on 23 February, and the restoration of relations with the US administration.

The Prime Minister called on Ireland to recognize the State of Palestine and to exert all efforts to formulate an active and supportive European position toward recognizing Palestine and protecting the two-state solution.
