Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh has described the Israeli Minister Bin Ghavir's invasion of Al-Aqsa mosque as a serious challenge aimed at transforming the Al-Aqsa Mosque into a synagogue. The Prime Minister called on Palestinians everywhere to counter these attempts. Furthermore, Dr. Shtayyeh further condemned Israel's unilateral measure of raising the value of the departure tax on the Al-Karama crossing, which is contrary to the signed agreements. The Prime Minister has called on the Israeli Government to release deducted Palestinian funds that amounted to NIS 2,400 billion last year only.

The Prime Minister further regarded the new Israeli Government as bearing full responsibility for all that may result from its aggression against Palestinian cities, towns, villages, camps, and the accompanying killings, demolition, and arrests, the latest of which was the killing of the child Adam Ayad in Dheisheh refugee camp, and two young martyrs Mohammed Hawshia and Fouad Abed in Kafr Dan yesterday, in addition to dozens of injuries and the bombing of three homes, as part of a systematic policy targeting Palestinians.

The Council of Ministers has welcomed the results of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) vote on Palestine's request for a legal and an advisory opinion on the nature of the long-term illegal colonial occupation. The Cabinet has considered this resolution a new defeat of the occupation and those who supported it by all illegal means, which contravene international laws and human rights principles. The Cabinet has also thanked states that had supported this historic resolution and called on those States that had stood against it to reconsider their stance.

The Prime Minister denounced the Israeli occupation authorities' unilateral action of increasing the departure tax value at Al-Karama crossing for Palestinian travelers. Dr. Shtayyeh emphasized that this measure is incompatible with the signed agreements and that Israel is transferring the entire tax to its treasury instead of the Palestinian government. The Prime Minister called on the occupying power to release all deducted funds, including the departure fees, held in its custody. The Prime Minister stated that the release of these funds would help resolve the accumulated financial crisis due to illegal occupation deductions, these deductions amounted to NIS 2,400 billion last year, up to NIS 300 million from 2021.
