The Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, has held the Israeli government fully responsible for the escalation in the occupied territories due to its aggression, violations, and daily crimes against Palestinians in Jenin refugee camp and occupied East Jerusalem, as well as in all cities, towns, villages, and refugee camps, which are constantly and systematically attacked by soldiers and settlers alike.

Speaking at the outset of the cabinet meeting held in Ramallah, Dr. Shtayyeh has called on the international community to condemn Israeli systematic crimes as well as racist statements by ministers in the Israeli government in which they urge on the Israeli public to take up arms in order to commit crimes against Palestinians.

Dr. Shtayyeh has stressed that the Palestinian government takes the decisions of the Israeli inner cabinet targeting Palestinians especially in East Jerusalem seriously, considering them a violation of international law and Geneva Conventions, and it reflects the depth of the crisis that the occupation government is experiencing, which is in fact trying to deflect attention from it through the killings, repression, collective punishments, home demolitions, and giving Israeli settlers a free hand to commit more crimes against Palestinians.

The Prime Minister has warned of the dangerous consequences of the occupation authority's plan to demolish and displace the residents of the village of al-Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem, stressing that the Palestinian people will not allow this to happen and they will fight against it. Dr. Shtayyeh has demanded a firm position from the international community to cease the demolition of al-Khan al-Ahmar and to take the necessary measures to ensure that this racist expansionist project is not implemented, stressing that what is required at this point is to stop all unilateral measures practiced by Israel, which violates signed agreements, international legitimacy, and international law.
