The Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, denounced Israeli Minister Smotrich's recent statements denying the existence of Palestinians, claiming that it was an invention of the last 100 years. The Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh described these statements as a conclusive evidence of the extremist, racist, Zionist ideology embraced by the current Israeli government.

Speaking at the Cabinet weekly meeting held in Ramallah, the Prime Minister highlighted that these racist statements are consistent with the first Zionist sayings, "a land without a people for a people without a land," and that the Palestinian lands are “disputed” and that it is a "promised land" and other delusional claims. Dr. Shtayyeh affirmed that these are statements of those who wanted to erase Hawara, expressing their arrogance of force and ignorance. The Prime Minister continued that the Palestinians are the ones who gave this land, Palestine, its name, they are the ones who gave this land its value and status. The Prime Minister added, "This land is ours, and Israel is a colonial state established by the colonizers and settlers, and expanded like any settler colonialism throughout history."

Furthermore, the Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh affirmed that the PA government supports every political effort led by President Mahmoud Abbas to achieve Palestinian national rights. These rights include stopping the aggression against our people, our land, and our sanctities, and stopping all unilateral measures taken by Israel, and its disregard of all signed agreements. The Palestinian government hopes to end the occupation and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital and the right of return for refugees.

The Council of Ministers condemned the decision of the Israeli Minister of Internal Security, Ben Gvir, to close the office of the company that provides media and production services to the Palestinian official media and summon the staff working in it. The Cabinet described this procedure as illegal and part of a racist systematic policy aimed at confiscating freedoms and obscuring the crimes committed by the occupation forces.
