Premier Mustafa discusses Israeli occupation's attacks on Palestinian people and holy sites with Holy See’s Foreign Minister

Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, discussed the latest developments in Palestine with the Vatican’s Foreign Minister Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher.

During a phone call, they addressed the ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the attacks by the Israeli occupation army and colonist-settlers in the West Bank, and the continuous incursions into Islamic and Christian holy sites, including the restrictions Israel imposes on worshippers.

Mustafa conveyed President Mahmoud Abbas's greetings to His Holiness Pope Francis, appreciating his humane and responsible stance in calling for a ceasefire and the delivery of relief and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The Prime Minister thanked His Holiness Pope Francis for his calls to pilgrims from around the world to visit Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and other religious sites; noting that these visits instill hope in our people and help boost the tourism economy, particularly in East Jerusalem and Bethlehem, which have experienced a downturn due to Israeli aggression.
