Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, warned of the dangers of the Israeli military escalation and settler attacks in the West Bank, as well as the Israeli political leadership's schemes to impose sanctions on the Palestinian people, their leadership, and institutions. He stressed that all these actions will enflame an already volatile situation and will have repercussions on the entire region.

“Our people's patience is running very thin. What happened in Gaza is being gradually replicated by Israel in the West Bank due to the escalating attacks by the Israeli occupation and settlers. Everyone must act now before we reach the point of no return,” said Mustafa.

This came during a meeting at his office in Ramallah with more than 50 members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Palestine and representatives of international organizations and institutions where he briefed them on the escalation by the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and the ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Mustafa further commended the decisions of Spain, Norway, and Ireland to recognize the State of Palestine, which brought the number of countries that have so far recognized Palestinian statehood to 147. He called on the countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to promptly follow suit and to support the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.

The Prime Minister informed the audience about the government's achievements in administrative and institutional reform plans, as well as its plans for relief efforts and provision of essential services in the Gaza Strip, and achieving economic stability, emphasizing the importance of coordination and cooperation with all international partners.

Additionally, the Prime Minister addressed the difficult financial situation in Palestine caused by the continued Israeli occupation aggression against the Palestinian people, including its illegal deductions from and withholding of Palestinian clearance funds, which limit the government's ability to fulfill its obligations towards the Palestinian people.
