
Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, discussed with Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, advancing efforts to halt the Israeli occupation aggression against the Palestinian people, and achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
During a phone call, the two officials also discussed enhancing relief and humanitarian efforts, facilitating aid delivery through land crossings to the Strip, and dissuading Israel from its wide-scale ground invasion in Rafah.
The Prime Minister commended Spain's recognition of the State of Palestine, emphasizing the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries in light of this recognition. He expressed his appreciation to Spain for its support to the Palestinian question and the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people in all international forums, underscoring the importance of continuing joint efforts to garner further recognitions of the State of Palestine from other European countries.
He called on the European Union to articulate a clear and explicit position regarding Israel's schemes in targeting the Palestinian people and leadership, as well as regarding the incitement it exercises, whether it comes from within or outside the Israeli government.
