New York – Prime Minister’s Office - Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa met with UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York,

During the meeting, Mustafa emphasized that there is no alternative to UNRWA and stressed standing firm against all systematic attempts by the Israeli occupation to dismantle the UN agency. He highlighted the critical need for efforts and engagements at all levels to mobilize financial support for UNRWA, ensuring the continuity and sustainability of its services, which benefit over 5.5 million Palestinian refugees.

Mustafa also discussed with Lazzarini the conditions of Palestinian refugees in refugee camps both inside Palestine and in the diaspora, as well as the coordination of efforts with relevant ministries to facilitate and increase the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to the Gaza Strip and distribute it throughout the entire Strip.
