Ramallah - Prime Minister’s Office: The Council of Ministers welcomed the resolutions of the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit held in Riyadh, which demonstrated a unified Arab-Islamic stance in support of the Palestinian cause. The summit resolutions affirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause and the firm support for the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate and inalienable national rights, stressed Arab-Islamic action to stop the Israeli crime of genocide in Gaza, called on the UN Security Council to form an independent and credible international investigation committee to investigate Israeli crimes in Gaza, strongly rejected any forced displacement of Palestinians, and reiterated unwavering support for UNRWA. It emphasized the urgent need to end the Israeli occupation and realize the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The summit further stressed rallying international support to freeze Israel's membership in the UN General Assembly and urged world countries to halt arms exports and transfers to Israel.

In his opening remarks during the Cabinet session, Prime Minister Mustafa expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the summit and leading the joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee. He highlighted the committee's continued diplomatic efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and to secure broader international recognition for the State of Palestine, as well as expanding the Committee’s mandate and efforts to stop the aggression on Lebanon.

Mustafa briefed the Cabinet on recent Arab and Islamic diplomatic movements, including the formation of a tripartite mechanism comprising the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the African Union to politically support the Palestinian cause across global fora.

The Cabinet expressed strong opposition to all unilateral Israeli actions and emphasized President Mahmoud Abbas's instructions to intensify diplomatic efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

The Cabinet also discussed putting in place a financial system to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and compensate them for the demolition by the Israeli occupation of their properties, especially in Area C. A specialized committee was formed to set the standards and establish governance for this effort, with representatives from the Ministries of Local Government, Finance, Jerusalem Affairs, and the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.

It also approved the formation of a specialized legal and archaeological team tasked with pursuing international legal action to counter Israel’s decision to seize and annex Palestinian heritage and archaeological sites, leveraging cultural and legal institutions to prosecute Israel and to nullify such decisions.
