Amman, Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammad Mustafa met today with his Jordanian counterpart Dr. Jaafar Hassan at the Prime Ministry of Jordan in Amman.

During the meeting, the two prime ministers discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian Territory, efforts to end the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.

Dr. Mustafa expressed deep appreciation for Jordan's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and people under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, emphasizing the King’s pivotal role as the leading advocate for the Palestinian cause. He further highlighted the King’s efforts to halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, provide aid, and facilitate international relief efforts for the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The Prime Minister briefed his Jordanian counterpart on the current situation in Palestine, including the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and the attacks by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

Both leaders reaffirmed the strong historical ties between Jordan and Palestine and underscored their commitment to ongoing coordination and consultation in addressing the challenges and developments facing the Palestinian cause.

For his part, Dr. Hassan emphasized King Abdullah II’s clear directives to provide unwavering support for the Palestinian people politically, economically, and at all levels. He highlighted Jordan’s efforts to end the war on Gaza, ensure the sustained delivery of humanitarian aid, as well as the urgent need to end the humanitarian catastrophe endured by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Hassan reiterated Jordan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s steadfastness in the West Bank, stressing that Jordan will continue to support them until they attain their full and legitimate rights. He condemned the Israeli occupation measures, including assaults on the Palestinian people, settlement expansion in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and violations of Palestinian rights.

He further emphasized Jordan's efforts in safeguarding Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem under the Hashemite Custodianship, a responsibility carried out with utmost dedication by King Abdullah II.

The Jordanian Prime Minister also highlighted Jordan's intensified diplomatic efforts with international partners to preserve and support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), ensuring it continues to provide its essential humanitarian services as mandated by the United Nations.
