Cairo, February 6, 2025, Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa discussed with his Egyptian counterpart, Mostafa Madbouly, ways to support the Palestinian Government’s efforts in implementing its Relief Early Recovery and Emergency Response Plan to address the urgent needs of our people in the Gaza Strip.

The discussions, held on Thursday at the Egyptian Cabinet headquarters in Cairo, also focused on providing temporary shelter, debris removal, and partially damaged home restoration, laying the groundwork for comprehensive reconstruction.

Prime Minister Mustafa also briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the latest developments in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, highlighting the Israeli occupation's continued aggression on northern West Bank governorates and refugee camps. He detailed the widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, and facilities, as well as killing, detention, forced displacement, and the military checkpoints and sieges imposed by the occupation to isolate Palestinian towns and cities.

During the meeting, Mustafa conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, expressing deep appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast and historic support for Palestine across all international forums. He also commended Egypt’s mediation efforts to end the Israeli onslaught on the Palestinian people in Gaza and emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts, ensuring that the aggression would never be repeated.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Mustafa lauded Egypt’s unwavering stance against the forced displacement of the Palestinian people from their land, whether in Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem.

The meeting was attended by Palestinian Minister of Interior Major General Ziad Hab al-Reeh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wael Zakout, Minister of Social Development and Relief Samah Hamd, and Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Diab al-Louh.
