Munich, February 15, 2025 | Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa met with Iceland’s Prime Minister, Kristrún Frostadóttir, on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference today, Saturday. The meeting was attended by Icelandic Foreign Minister Thorgerdur Katrín Gunnarsdóttir and Palestine’s Ambassador to Germany, Laith Arafa.

Prime Minister Mustafa briefed his Icelandic counterpart on the latest developments in Palestine and the Palestinian Government’s efforts to enhance humanitarian relief, early recovery, and emergency response to the needs of the Palestinian people in Gaza in the short term, while laying the groundwork for full-scale reconstruction in the medium and long term.

He also informed Prime Minister Frostadóttir of the ongoing Israeli attacks and escalating violations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, particularly the continued military incursions into cities, towns, villages, and refugee camps in the northern West Bank. He highlighted the destruction of infrastructure, home and structure demolitions, killings, detentions, and forced displacement carried out by the Israeli occupation forces.

The two leaders also discussed strengthening joint cooperation between Palestine and Iceland across various areas.
