RAMALLAH, March 26, 2026 | Prime Minister’s Office — Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa met on Thursday at his office in Ramallah with the European Union Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Christophe Bigot, to discuss the latest political and field developments in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Estephan Salameh.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Mustafa stressed the urgent need to step up international efforts and pressure on Israel to halt the ongoing grave escalation in the West Bank, particularly settler attacks, as well as restrictive measures imposed by the Israeli occupation, including movement restrictions and military checkpoints that disrupt citizens’ daily life and the flow of goods.

He further highlighted the continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues for nearly a year, which exacerbates humanitarian and economic needs and undermines the Government’s ability to meet its obligations toward the Palestinian people.

The Prime Minister emphasized that regional conflicts must not divert attention from the Gaza Strip, underscoring the importance of moving forward with the implementation of President Trump’s initiative and relevant UN resolutions, advancing the implementation of recovery and reconstruction plans, ensuring Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, and unifying Palestinian institutions between Gaza and the West Bank under the State of Palestine, in line with relevant international frameworks and initiatives.

Discussions also addressed the agenda of the upcoming donor conference scheduled in Brussels next month, focusing on ways to ensure its success in light of the difficult conditions and financial blockade, including mobilizing greater international pressure to halt the Israeli occupation’s piracy of Palestinian tax revenues.
