During its weekly meeting held in Ramallah today, the Palestinian Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah:

- Called up on all the Palestinian factions to combine efforts to achieve political reconciliation and renounce division in every possible way, as well as to align to the interests of our great people, stressing that “Unity is our top priority, being the strongest pillar to continue the state building process.”.  The cabinet added, “We stand today in front of the most extreme and brutal occupation policies that doesn’t respect any international agreements, the international law or resolutions of International legitimacy. Therefore, it’s necessary to take urgent and serious steps to end the political division, reunify the Palestinian nation, use resistance in all of its legitimate forms to protect the Palestinian political achievements, and end the Israeli occupation to all elements of the Palestinian life.”

- Strongly condemned the excavations operations carried out by the occupation authorities and the colonial settlement organizations around the clock under the Al-Haram Al-Sharif, its surroundings, and in Silwan town in Occupied Jerusalem aimed to Judaizing the city and its holy sites. Furthermore, the cabinet warned the International Community from the dangers consequences of such illegal excavations acts, especially over Palestinian`s homes with very high population density, where the inhabitants of those homes are prevented, by the Israel occupying authorities from urbanization and homes renovation.   

- Deplored Israel’s decision to withdrawal from UNESCO. “This recent decision is a clear Israeli attempt to escape and avoid the implementation of UNESCO's resolutions on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, which stand to confront years of Israeli violations and calls to preserve the inalienable Palestinian rights. In addition, these resolutions are aligned with the international community strong condemnations of the Israeli occupation illegal policies aimed to obliterate the historical monuments, political, and religious rights of the Palestinian people in the city of Jerusalem. Furthermore, it holds a key element in revealing the false Israeli narrative that misled the public opinion and the international community for decades.” The cabinet stated that Israel's withdrawal from the International organization should not in any way absolve Israel from implementing UNESCO's decisions and cooperating with its committees. In this regard, the cabinet called upon UNESCO to establish and send a fact-finding commission to investigate the Israeli aggression against the history of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the old city, in order to uncover the Israeli colonial plans, expose its repercussions, and work immediately to halt the Israeli excavations acts. 

- Condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ approval to construct 2,200 new colonial settlement units.“The decision is an extension of the Israeli illegal policies of colonial enterprises, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing, which are a flagrant violation of the international law, relevant UN conventions, and related resolutions.” The cabinet called upon the international community to take concrete steps to halt the Israeli colonial policy throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), including the holy city of Jerusalem and immediately implement United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Res. No 2334.

- Strongly condemned the adopted plan by the so-called Israeli Minister of Internal Security Gilad Arad aimed to worsen the conditions of the Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails, including the reduction of money amounts transferred by the Palestinian government to meet the Palestinian prisoners' basic needs of purchasing items from the jail canteens and other new restrictions on food, water quantities, room’s conditions, and family visits.  The cabinet appealed to the International Community, particularly the United Nations, and the pertinent international bodies to upheld its responsibilities and exercise its vital role to protect the Palestinian prisoners. As well as, to halt the Israeli repressive measures against them. "These illegal measures obligate the United Nations, the international umbrella, its institutions, and the human rights international systems to intervene urgently to save Palestinian detainees and force Israel, the Occupying Power to implement the International humanitarian law and release all Palestinian detainees from the Israeli occupation jails and detentions facilities.” The cabinet added. Furthermore, the cabinet, held the Israeli legislative, executive, judicial authorities, and the prison internal service the full responsibility for the lives of Palestinian detainees, warning that the escalated and new arbitrary measures are contrary to all international conventions and related resolutions on the protection of prisoners.  

- Deplored the Israeli occupation forces invasion of Nablus particularly, the vicinity of the Yousef Tomb, accompanied by hundreds of settlers and the firing of live bullets and tear gas against the unarmed citizens, which resulted in the injuring of Abdel-Haq (29 years old) a correspondent at the Palestine Television and health personnel Yassin Omran. In addition, the cabinet condemned the international community and relevant bodies silence on the Israeli flagrant violations and crimes of the international and humanitarian law, which is committed on daily basis against our defenseless people.  The cabinet also questioned the responsibility of the various human rights organizations, humanitarian, and medical bodies that stand paralyzed in front of Israel's crimes, illegal measures, racist laws, and let it escape accountability.
