Shtayyeh: ‘Right Wing’ Bloc is on the Rise as Netanyahu Returns to Power

During his statement at the weekly Cabinet meeting, held in Ramallah today, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh expressed his concern over the outcomes of Israeli elections. “It is quite clear that Netanyahu would return to power, which indicates the right-wing bloc is on the rise. This means that the aggression program against the Palestinian people is the annexation program,” Dr. Shtayyeh stated. 

“A great challenge is ahead of us. We are about to enter a stage, which includes many challenges; settlements, settlement expansion program, annexation of the Jordan Valley, converting Palestinian cities and villages to Bantustans and piracy of our money,” Dr. Shtayyeh added.

In addition to that, the Prime Minister saluted the steadfast people of Palestinian citizens in 'Beta’ and 'Jabal Al-Arma,’ who face settlement attempts and aggression on both the archaeological sites and the narrative.

Moreover, Dr. Shtayyeh briefed Cabinet members on the outcomes of his participation in the 37th session of Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunisia, which included fruitful meetings with many Arab Interior ministers, the Tunisian President and Prime Minister.

To conclude, Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh affirmed that Palestine is still free of the Corona virus, and stressed the readiness of the government, represented by the Ministry of to fight this virus.
