Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh today condemned the Israeli demolition of 70 housing facilities and livestock pens in Khirbet Humsa al-Foqa community in the governorate of Tubas, displacing around 80 Palestinian citizens.

“This demolition, which is the largest of its kind against our citizens in the Jordan Valley, represents a new Israeli breach and a violation of international law, and an additional challenge to the international community and us. It systematically destroys the possibility of establishing an independent State of Palestine on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister called on our international partners to intervene and end the attempts of the occupying power to displace the citizens of Khirbet Humsa al-Foqa and tens of similar communities from their homes and lands, and to protect our citizens from the continued Israeli violations of their rights.

The Prime Minister indicated that as the attention is focused on the US elections, Israel chose this evening to commit another crime  and  cover it up.
