During a meeting with Ignazio Cassis, the Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh called upon Switzerland to preserve the two-state solution through recognizing the State of Palestine and engaging in a new political path based on international law and UN resolutions.

"Israel systematically violates internatinal law and UN resolutions by imposing a deteriorating fait accompli in Palestine through settlement expansion, land confiscation, Gaza blockade, and the isolation of Jerusalem," the Prime Minister stated.
