-   The Cabinet looks forward to President Abbas' issuance of the decree that shall specify the time for holding (national) elections, begin all necessary preparations, and make this democratic process a success. We are pleased with the encouraging atmosphere surrounding the elections' holding that we want to be a gateway to renewing our democratic life and uniting our homeland based on truth, freedom, social justice, equality, and national partnership. We want the elections to establish a new phase. I call upon the United Nations and Europe to pressure Israel to allow our people in Jerusalem to participate in the elections; it's their right on the one hand and stipulated in signed agreements (with Israel) on the other hand.

-   While Israel's colonization processes continue at an unprecedented rate, and settlers' crimes and attacks under the protection of the Israeli occupying forces intensify, we are facing two hazardous developments: (1) First, the resources (financial and otherwise) pumping by the occupation's government to settlements and settlers: to monitor Palestinians using cameras and drones, chase any construction, agricultural, or production activity under the pretext of preserving archaeological sites- as if the settlers have an authority or a role in this. The enormity (of such development) was revealed through Haroun Abu Aram's injury in Masafer Yatta upon information provided by the settlers. It exposes Israel's colonization as a colonial commercial investment process. (We are witnessing) an unprecedented mobilization of settlers through amendment of laws and legislations that aim to increase the direct role of settlers to the extent of building irreversible entities that will not be controlled by any Israeli government. (2) The second development is news on some Arab markets that started importing olive oil and honey from (Israeli) settlements in the West Bank, specifically from the settlements of Rehelim and Harmesh. Such breach either reflects a disregard of the gravity and criminality of the occupation and indifference to the injustice inflicted upon the Palestinian people, or lack of awareness that these settlements and dealings with them violate international law and expose those who do it to criminal and legal prosecution in international courts, which undoubtedly we seek to do.

-   COVID-19 cases are witnessing a slight decrease due to adherence to precautionary measures, but the commitment remains a duty until flattering the curve (of infections) and vaccinating is completed. The High National Emergency Committee will discuss the new procedures for the next two weeks, according to health indicators and the Ministry of Health and the Epidemiological Committee's recommendations.

- Once completed, the vaccination process will cost us about USD 21 million. The Ministry of Health has contracted four companies to supply the vaccine, which will arrive sequentially within the next two months. The vaccination process will begin with health workers, the ill, and the elderly until vaccinating around 70% of our citizens in the West Bank and Gaza.  Here, we condemn the racism of Israel, the occupying power. It boasts about the speed of vaccinating its citizens while neglecting its legal responsibility, under the rules of international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, the 1907 Hague Regulations, and international human rights law, to provide vaccines to the Palestinian people. Hence, we demand/ call on the occupying power to provide the prisoners' necessary vaccination and those who want them. On our part, we will fulfill our duty towards our people by providing what is required.

-  In parallel with the Israeli annexation and colonization plans, Israel, through many organizations, frameworks, and bodies, is waging a battle that is no less dangerous: this is the battle of 'narrative,' where Israel seeks to falsify history, launch incitement campaigns against us, including against Palestinian prisoners and the Palestinian educational curricula.

- Therefore, 2021 should be the year of the 'Palestinian narrative.' A year of solid national identity expressed in scientific research, media, literature, art, music, theatre, TV, cinema, and folk dance, in universities, schools, conferences, publications, and international and Arab cultural institutions. Thus, we will form a national committee to develop plans and monitor the necessary capabilities to deem this year as the year of the national narrative in Palestine, in exile, in the Arab world, and internationally.

- We condemn the crime of shooting Palestinian workers, wounding seven of them, by the Israeli occupying soldiers at the Faroun checkpoint in Tulkarm this morning. We will file this for follow-up with international bodies. And we call on international bodies and institutions to condemn this crime.
