Just as in all previous campaigns, the upcoming Israeli election campaign will also focus on building thousands of settlement units on our land. This time, we consider the settlement construction in Jerusalem Airport in Qalandia as a blatant disregard for the international position rejecting settlement and a cover up in the Trump administration's final days.
More than ever, we need the international community to stop these colonial projects, including the light rail project. It's a must to implement UNSCR 2334 as it reflects the international community's will in the face of Israeli settlements.
I salute our people in Kafr Qaddum, Deir Jarir, Burqin, Kafr al-Dik, Jalud, Qaryut, al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, Kifl Haris, Bidya, Atoof, Yasoof, Beit Dajan, Masafir Yatta, Burin, Madama, and Asirah that are subjected to Israeli settlers' terror.
We appeal to the United Nations bodies operating in the State of Palestine to organize teams to protect the Palestinian citizens where such settler attacks occur. We warn of the dangers of this ongoing aggression protected by the Israeli occupying force.
We also condemn the storming of the Palestine Medical Complex (by the Israeli occupying forces). They terrorized the patients and caused injuries among many with bullets and tear gas.
Also, we denounce the occupation authorities' decision to withhold the vaccines from our prisoners. We hold the occupation authorities fully responsible for our prisoners' lives, and we call on them to vaccinate our prisoners under the supervision and control of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
As we continue to face COVID-19, the implemented measures are useful but are giving slow results. Once again, your commitment and adherence to preventive measures such as wearing masks, sterilization, maintaining distance, and not holding weddings, funerals, and celebrations, are the foundation for our measures' success. We are closely monitoring whether to extend the current measures as they end in a few days. We have completed all the administrative, financial, and communication procedures to obtain the first batch of the vaccination that I hope will arrive soon.
