-We call on the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations to follow up on the conditions of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons, guarantee that they are not being subjected to torture and abuse, and oblige Israel, the occupying power, to implement the Geneva Convention (III) relative to the treatment of prisoners. We also hold the occupation authorities fully responsible for the lives of our prisoners.

-Israel has proposed an 'economy for security’ plan for the Gaza Strip. The problem in Gaza, as in all of the Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem, is political. What is required here is a serious and real political path based on international legitimacy and international law in a way that ends the occupation, lifts the siege on the Gaza Strip, and stops the aggression on the Palestinian territory. This would allow the reconstruction process to become possible and sustainable/ permanent.

- As for the Qatari grant, it consists of three parts:

Part 1: allocated $10 million to purchase fuel for the Gaza power station through the United Nations- (accomplished).

Part 2: allocated $10 million to distribute aid through the World Food Program for four months- (accomplished).

Part 3: worth $10 million to pay salaries for employees in Gaza. However, all Palestinian banks refused to be involved in this phase to avoid legal prosecution. From our part, we welcome any effort to solve this issue.

-The Cabinet decided earlier to prevent social gatherings, including mourning houses and weddings. This ruling will enter into force today. A new health protocol will be announced soon to regulate the work of all public facilities and service institutions to limit the spread of COVID-19. In this context, I call upon all citizens to quickly get vaccinated in health centers distributed across all governorates to protect themselves and their society from the new waves of infection, so that we don’t find ourselves forced to return to previously implemented measures and procedures. I also call on all citizens to continue adherence to preventive measures and maintain social distancing.
