-We thank Algeria for its strenuous efforts to host the national Palestinian dialogue with the participation of all national factions. We hope to reach a consensus that will lead to ending the division, enforcing the spirit of national partnership in order to face political and economic challenges, form a national unity government, and collaborate with our international friends and partners to hold an international peace conference that would enable our people to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is their right to self-determination, the establishment of their independent State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, and the right of refugees to return.

-The comments by Thomas Nides, the United States New Ambassador to Israel, that he won’t absolutely visit any Israeli settlement in the West Bank are in the right direction, but not sufficient. We want the American administration to practice pressure to stop colonization and reopen the American Consulate in Jerusalem as these two steps would directly contribute to protecting the two-state solution.

-We salute our people in the Negev, the indigenous owners of the land, and we condemn the policies of apartheid, persecution, and ethnic cleansing that Israel practices against them for the purpose of confiscating their land and property. We call on the occupation authorities to stop these violations, which constitute a breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

-We call on the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit Palestinian female prisoners in the Israeli Damon prison, and follow up on their health conditions, following the news that many of them were infected with COVID-19. We hold the occupation government responsible for the safety of our prisoners and we reiterate our demands for the release of the cancer-stricken prisoner, Nasser Abu Hamid.

-I congratulate Norway for assuming the presidency of the UN Security Council early this month. We look forward to Norway’s’ role in contributing to creating a new political horizon, stopping settlement expansion- associated with settlers’ terror against our people.

-I salute the Palestinian community in the USA for its continuous efforts to support Palestine, specifically raising the Palestinian flag in the global village in California.
