Today, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh and Hady Amr, the US State Department Envoy, discussed the need to achieve political progress and stop Israel's actions against our people.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of an American political will to fulfill all its pledges and support the Palestinian people.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the need to break the political deadlock and to stop Israel's illegal policies against our people, including settlers' violence, and to pressure Israel to follow through on its commitments per agreements signed, including allowing elections in occupied Jerusalem.
The Prime Minister said: "There is a general feeling of anger in Palestine due to the continued Israeli attacks, incursions, and settlers' terror, and also because of the double standards in the application of international law and action by the international community."
In conclusion, the Prime Minister clarified that the economic reports by the International Monetary Fund & World Bank clearly indicate that all financial reforms are not solving the Palestinian financial crisis due to the decline in international aid and Israel's deduction of Palestinian tax revenues.
