Speaking at the outset of the weekly cabinet’s meeting held in Ramallah, PM Dr. Shtayyeh held the Israeli government fully responsible for all the escalation taking place and called on the world to hold Israel accountable for its repeated crimes on a daily basis, the latest of which was the aggression against Al-Aqsa, the march of Israeli ministers and Knesset members in support of settlements, invasions and filed executions; the last victim of those crimes was the martyr Mohammad Fayez Belhan, who died during the occupation forces' incursion into Aqabat Jabr Refugee camp in Jericho this morning.

The Prime Minister stressed that "attacking worshippers and violating the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque must not go unaccounted for". He saluted the resilience of Palestinians in Jerusalem, stressing that Palestinians presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque would prevent the temporal and spatial division that Israel seeks to enforce”.

On behalf of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Shtayyeh congratulated people celebrating the glorious Easter, and Palm Sunday. He added "These occasions and holidays are the manifestation of the spirit of faith, sacrifice, love, sincerity, and hope. Our people, who are now on the path of pain, will inevitably reach the path of freedom and salvation from occupation and its colonial instruments” 

The Prime Minister expressed his hopes that the financial crisis will be over by the end of the year, enabling the government to complete the disbursement of dues, allowances, and salaries, and affirmed Palestinians right to the attainment of all their rights, including finances, and the cessation of unjust deductions by the occupying Power.
