The Cabinet demanded the UN and Red Cross to visit communities blockaded by Israel to bear witness to what is happening on the ground, and demanded to stop Israeli aggression against Palestinians. 

Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh invited the international community, specifically the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to visit Palestine and bear witness the blockade on Palestinian communities, in order to lift the siege and stop Israeli aggression against Palestinians. The meeting further facilitated the situation in Nablus, by which the occupation forces tightened its siege on Nablus, and the city has been under tight military blockade for one week, obstructing Palestinians movement, disrupting daily life, and obstructing the work of businessmen, public employees, and all city residents. The Cabinet meeting demanded Israel to stop its aggression against Palestinians in the city of Nablus, Shuafat and Anata refugee camps, and emphasized that using children, land, and Holy places as offerings with Israeli election approaching, must also stop. 

The Prime Minister said that he visited the city of Jenin to check on its people, in light of the latest Israeli military campaign against the city, which left dozens of its youth dead from army gunfire. PM offered his heartfelt condolences to the families of the latest victims of the Israeli army campaigns whether it was in Jenin, Salfit or Ramallah. The Prime Minister added: “I saw great anger towards what Israel is doing to our people, and I spoke with activists from Shufat refugee camp and Anata. I was briefed on their needs, which will be followed on by competent ministers”.

 The Council of ministers further discussed a report on diplomatic efforts to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against Palestinians, especially for field executions targeting Palestinian children. The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Gutiérrez and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for the Protection of Children and the cessation of field executions were addressed in this regard.

On the intra-Palestinian reconciliation talks that were concluded in Algeria last week, Prime minister Dr. Shtayyeh said the cabinet is going to take all necessary measures to translate the Algerian experience on the ground in an effort to end the division and achieve Palestinian unity. The Cabinet meeting concluded this sessions by discussing forming a ministerial committee to follow up on the investment fund's efforts to complete the gas agreement with Egypt.
