Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh called on the International Community to reject Israeli settlements, killing, and systematic destruction in the Palestinian occupied territories, stressing that Israel should pay for its systematic aggression against Palestinians.

Speaking at the outset of the weekly cabinet meeting, Dr. Shtayeh said: "If the negotiations to form a government in Israel are based on who builds more settlements, who wants to make it easier to shoot more at us, and who wants to confiscate more land, then Israel is declaring a war against us, led by extremist colonialists”. In light of these policies, the cabinet urged the international community to reject Israeli policy, and called for holding Israel accountable for its systematic policy of aggression and violence against Palestinians. 

PM considered Israeli settlers rampaging in Tal al-Rumeida, al-Shuhada Street, and Bab al-Zawiya as an example of the escalation in which the Israeli army and settlers come together as one team in attacking Palestinians. As the world marks International Children's Day, he highlighted that Israel has killed more than 40 Palestinian children since the beginning of this year and detained more than 750 others.

PM further added that Israel threatened to demolish schools, in Ein Samia near Ramallah, and other schools in Masafer Yatta, in addition to daily violations against schools in Jerusalem and the old city of Hebron, and in other parts of the West Bank. The Prime Minister therefore called on international human rights organizations to intervene and protect Palestinian children rights, exposing Israeli occupation policies, and holding it accountable for its crimes against Palestinian children and disregard of international law.
