Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh has issued a warning against the submission of the so-called Amit Halevy bill to the Israeli Knesset, which calls for the division of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem's Old City between Muslims and Jews.

Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting held in Ramallah, the Prime Minister emphasized the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque for Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims as a whole. He called for an Arab, Islamic, and international intervention that goes beyond condemnation to imposing serious measures and sanctions against Israel to prevent any spatial or temporal change in Al-Aqsa Mosque and stop any violation of Islamic and Christian holy sites.

Dr. Shtayyeh also called for international pressure to stop Israel's implementation of the settlement plan known as "E1," which aims to undermine the chances of establishing a contiguous Palestinian State. This new plan seeks to establish a new colony, linking settlements around Jerusalem with Ma'ale Adumim settlement, which ultimately means dividing the West Bank into two separate areas thus doing away with the two-state solution that would have dangerous consequences on security and peace in the region as a whole. Additionally, Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh called for preventing Israel from proceeding with its colonial and expansionist plans, including plans to build a major industrial zone between Ariel settlement in the north of the occupied West Bank, which will be built at the cost of the lands of the villages of Sineria, Rafat, and al-Zawiya, with an area of about 2,700 dunums.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister expressed his sorrow for the increase in murders in the Arab community in Israel, which has claimed many innocent lives, holding the Israeli authorities fully responsible for the high rate of crime by intentionally not doing anything to stop them or prosecute the perpetrators due to racist reasons.

The Prime Minister expressed his support for President Mahmoud Abbas's upcoming visit to China, which will celebrate 60 years of Palestinian-Chinese relations and 35 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
