The Council of Ministers convened its weekly session in Ramallah to monitor Israel's continued aggression against our people in Jenin Refugee Camp. The aggression has resulted in large numbers of martyrs, injuries, and destruction of the camp's infrastructure through bulldozing operations, bombing homes and mosques with aircraft, and terrorizing the safe by using children and women as human shields. The Council also noted that ambulances have been obstructed from arriving at injured persons while press crews were attacked to prevent them from documenting crimes committed inside the Palestinian Refugee Camp.

Speaking at the outset of the Cabinet weekly meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh outlined Jenin’s heroic and stubborn camp and its unwavering resistance against occupation raids. He emphasized that Palestinians in Jenin will counter this aggression and that the Cabinet is working closely with partner countries to put an end to the aggression and provide all necessary support to reinforce the resilience of Palestinians in Jenin.

During the Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh considered the crimes committed by the occupation in Jenin, Nablus, Gaza, and other cities, villages, towns, and camps as a crime. He stressed that it will not bring security to Israel as long as they continue to attack our Palestinians. The Prime Minister further emphasized that Palestinians will not surrender and that they will continue to confront this criminal occupation.

The Prime Minister called on the international community to act and to halt the aggression against our people in Jenin immediately. Dr. Shtayyeh urged them to address the settlers' attacks and to impose all possible sanctions against Israel, which is built on terrorism and settlers. He also stressed the need to counter settlements expansion aimed at seizing more land and establishing more settlements. The Prime Minister added that Israel is committing a new crime in Jenin Refugee camp today, during which a number of martyrs were killed, dozens of citizens were injured, and infrastructure and property of innocent citizens were destroyed.

The Council of Ministers demanded the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner to follow up on the situation and take necessary measures to stop the aggression against our people in Jenin.
