Prime Minister, Dr. Shtayyeh warns that the occupation will continue to commit crimes and violations as long as it remains free from accountability and urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for the serious consequences of killings and field executions targeting Palestinians. 

Speaking at the outset of Cabinet weekly meeting, Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh, has issued a warning regarding the grave consequences of Israel's recent killings of children and young people, with 14 martyrs to date, including Lutfi, a 14-year-old from Dheisheh refugee camp who was killed just this morning. Yesterday, Ahmed Abdul Jalil Kahla, 47, and a father, from the town of Ramun, who was executed at point-blank range as he travelled with his son to his work place. The Prime Minister has urged the international community to actively work towards holding Israel accountable for these serious crimes, which are committed on a daily basis against Palestinians.

Dr. Shtayyeh added that the Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers are going to continue their crimes against Palestinians everywhere, in all cities, towns, and refugee camps as long as they remain free from accountability and punishment. He called on whom he referred to as “the protectors of Israel” at the United Nations (UN) and international platforms to open their eyes and hearts and see these ongoing crimes committed against Palestinians.

Dr. Shtayyeh has criticized the Israeli parliament's approval of racial discrimination law aimed at perpetuating occupation, annexation, and delegitimizing Palestinian legitimate rights. He has singled out the racist "emergency law" and a law passed in the first reading that calls for revoking citizenship and residency from Palestinian activists as particularly egregious violations of international conventions and basic human rights.

The Prime Minister has also condemned attempts by the new Israeli government to turn over large areas of Palestinian land in the West Bank to settlements and to seize 70 homes and shops in the old city of Hebron.  Dr. Shtayyeh has warned that the Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers will continue their crimes against the Palestinians as long as they remain free from punishment.
