Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh opened the Cabinet weekly meeting by condemning the Israeli doctrine of destruction and killing, following the recent aggression on Nur Shams refugee camp. PM confirmed that the Reconstruction Committee in Jenin Refugee camp was tasked with following up on damages resulting from Israeli aggression on other refugee camps in Tulkarem, Nablus, and Jericho. The Prime Minister pointed out that the Israeli society is now paying the price for its silence over crimes committed by its extremist government against Palestinians. The Cabinet also valued Portugal's recent decision to recognize the 1948 Nakba, considering it a first step towards recognizing the State of Palestine.

Speaking at the outset of the Cabinet weekly meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh condemned the Israeli doctrine of destruction and killing, referring to the recent aggression on Nur Shams refugee camp. PM noted that the ministerial committee that followed up the Israeli attacks in Jenin earlier will also follow up on the issue of Nur Shams refugee camp. Dr. Shtayyeh also expressed concern over the Israeli war machine's continuous attacks on Palestinian children, such as targeting two young Palestinan children, the young Fawzi Makhlafa and Muhammad al-Bayed, who were killed in separate incidents. The Prime Minister Dr. Shtayyeh pointed out that all of these Israeli crimes take place in parallel with crimes committed by settler gangs throughout the Palestinian territories, in addition to the ongoing storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which stem from the doctrine of erasure and genocide adopted by the ruling coalition in Israel.

Regarding Israel's internal affairs, the Prime Minister stated that Israeli society today pays the price for its silence on the Government's extremist crimes against Palestinians. Dr. Shtayyeh urged Israelis to recognize the danger of the ideology embraced by these extremists and called on Israeli society to pressure the Government to end the occupation and halt its crimes against Palestinians.

The Prime Minister concluded this session by expressing appreciation for the decision of the esteemed Portuguese Parliament in recognizing the Palestinian Nakba and the forced displacement of Palestinians in 1948.  Dr. Shtayyeh considered this a historical step towards acknowledging the historical injustices inflicted upon the Palestinians. PM thanked members of the Portuguese Parliament and the Portuguese people for their moral and legal stance that is consistent with the resolutions of international legitimacy and international law.
