Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, briefed the Cabinet on international communications and the leadership's efforts to establish ceasefire in Gaza and provide relief and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. He also presented reports on the efforts of field teams from various ministries and agencies working to serve our people in the Gaza Strip.

The Council of Ministers also made several financial and administrative decisions as outlined on its agenda and submitted by the relevant authorities, including: approving an increase in the procurement of specific medications requested by the Ministry of Health for dialysis; approving the distribution of local authorities' financial dues from transportation fees and fines for 2023; disbursing emergency payments to local authorities; and allocating funds to worker support programs. To this end, the Ministry of Local Government is tasked with providing a subsequent report detailing the areas of expenditure and the benefits derived from these funds.

The CoM further approved the criteria for selecting deputy ministers when positions become vacant, aligning with the Cabinet's decision regarding hiring senior employees through a competitive process.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mustafa instructed all ministries and government agencies to fully cooperate with the Administrative and Financial Control Bureau and the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission to review any procedures to ensure the integrity of decisions and transparency, thereby strengthening governance and good governance practices.
