Mission

Despite the complex political, economic, and financial conditions, the Palestinian government is strongly committed to transformational reforms, public sector efficiency, good governance, freedom and rule of law, overall accountability, and transparency.

The Palestinian Government Priority Areas

The Palestinian Government is focusing on three well-defined and actionable priority areas:

I. Implementing a comprehensive institutional reform program to modernize government institutions.

II. Developing and facilitating the implementation of a comprehensive strategy for the governance, institutional development, and reconstruction of Gaza.

III. Implementing a comprehensive plan to identify emergency funding needs to help address the escalating fiscal crisis and meet priority needs.

The Comprehensive Institutional Reform Program includes 10 Cross-cutting and Transformational Reform Pillars

  1. Improving governance, transparency and accountability at all levels of government.
  2. Public finances reforms.
  3. Rule of law and judicial system reforms.
  4. Consolidation and transformation of government institutions.
  5. Bringing government closer to citizens by empowering local governments.
  6. Democracy and human rights.
  7. Investing in the future of the Palestinian people through health and education reforms.
  8. Security sector reforms.
  9. Digital transformation.
  10. Overall economic development through private sector led growth.
