Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, met with the Swiss envoy to the Middle East and North Africa, Wolfgang Amadeus Brülhart, and the Norwegian envoy for the Middle East peace process, Hilde Haraldstad, to discuss the latest developments in Palestine at all levels.

During two separate meetings at his office in Ramallah, attended by the representative of Switzerland to the State of Palestine, Anne-Lise Henin, and the representative of Norway to the State of Palestine, Torne Veste; Mustafa emphasized the need to keep international pressure on Israel to stop its aggression and genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, release the Palestinian tax funds it illegally withholds, and cease all deductions from them.

He further stressed that Israel’s continued withholding of Palestinian funds jeopardizes the government's ability to fulfill its obligations, pushing it closer to the brink of collapse due to the worsening economic conditions caused by the relentless war on the Palestinian people.

Discussing the 'day after' and the government’s return to Gaza, Mustafa said, “We have never left the Gaza Strip for a single day. Since the establishment of the Palestinian Authority, the government has been responsible for providing all services in the Strip, continuing to this day through various ministries and agencies.”

“The government is the only body capable of managing the Gaza Strip. The priority now is to stop the Israeli occupation’s aggression on Gaza and ensure its withdrawal from the Strip,” he stressed.
