Hebron – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Mustafa said that the Israeli occupation is depriving 39,000 Palestinian high school students of their right to take their high school examinations due to Israel’s ongoing aggression on Gaza; emphasizing that the Ministry of Education is working tirelessly to provide recovery programs for the students affected by this disruption.

This came during a visit he paid to Hussein Boys' Secondary School and Al-Ikhwa Girls' Secondary School in the West Bank city of Hebron to inspect the examination halls as Palestinian high school students started their general secondary education exams, better known as “Tawjihi,” accompanied by Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin, Minister of Education and Higher Education Amjad Barham, Minister of Interior Ziad Hab al-Reeh, Minister of Culture Imad al-Din Hamdan, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Dawas Dawas, and several other officials, dignitaries, and educational figures.

During his remarks at the inauguration of this year’s exams, he stressed the importance of launching the exams from the city of Hebron due to its significant symbolism, saying that, “Under the guidance of President Mahmoud Abbas, the general secondary examinations will commence from the city of Hebron. This conveys the message that education is the most powerful weapon in facing the occupation and achieving independence. Committing to education is the key to overcoming all challenges.”

“Hand in hand, we will not only achieve better education, but also better health, services and security for the Palestinian people in their quest for a free, independent, and proud homeland,” Mustafa concluded.
