Nablus – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa condemned the crimes of genocide committed by Israel in Gaza, stating that the Palestinian people are enduring a very difficult period of time, where they, their very existence, and all segments of the Palestinian society, are being targeted, along with the entire Palestinian national project. Mustafa explained that the Israeli occupation aims to prevent the Palestinian people from achieving statehood and independence. “Nevertheless, we remain steadfast in our efforts to achieve our legitimate goals by ending the Israeli occupation and establishing our independent state with Jerusalem as its capital,” stressed Mustafa.

This statement was made at the beginning of his visit, accompanied by a delegation of several ministers, to Nablus Governorate, during which he reviewed the overall situation in the governorate, particularly in Nablus’s refugee camps, amidst the ongoing Israeli occupation measures, continuous closures, and repeated incursions, which have affected all aspects of life there.

“Despite the difficult circumstances and conditions, the determination of our people brings hope; and we will serve them everywhere and do everything possible to address all issues,” the Prime Minister said.

“As a government, we will do everything we can, and we will do more once the Israeli occupation war against our people in Gaza and the West Bank comes to an end. With the efforts of our people, we will rebuild and restore what the Israeli occupation has destroyed,” Mustafa continued.

Mustafa toured the Old City of Nablus, where he observed the living conditions of citizens and listened to several shop owners to learn about the economic situation and commercial activity there.

The Prime Minister also visited Balata Refugee Camp, and met with popular committees in the governorate’s camps in order to witness first-hand the challenging reality in the camps amidst the ongoing difficult conditions against the Palestinian people who are facing intense and fierce aggression from the Israeli occupation government. He emphasized that refugee camps are central to the Palestinian narrative, and vowed not to abandon the refugee issue. He underscored the commitment to thwart Israeli occupation schemes through collective and national efforts.

Additionally, Mustafa visited the Jordanian field hospital in Nablus, where he, along with his accompanying delegation, was received by the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Palestine Issam Budour and the hospital’s staff.

“We come today on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas to extend our profound gratitude and appreciation to King Abdullah II and the Jordanian government for their constant and unwavering support that reinforces the steadfastness our people in all fields, particularly this field hospital in Nablus and other Palestinian governorates in the West Bank and Gaza Strip,” stated the Prime Minister during his visit to the hospital.
