
Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office - Prime Minister Dr. Mohamed Mustafa met with the National Team for Economic Development, which includes representatives from over 30 institutions and major companies from the private sector, as well as relevant ministers. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss collaboration in addressing the ongoing fiscal crisis, punitive measures by the Israeli government, and fostering economic recovery across all sectors.
During the meeting, PM Mustafa reviewed the government's priorities: ending the Israeli war on Gaza, boosting relief efforts, stopping all Israeli-imposed measures and restrictions in the West Bank, and enhancing the performance of public institutions to provide the best services to citizens. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of fulfilling the government's obligations to employees, suppliers, and banks to achieve financial and economic stability.
PM Mustafa highlighted the efforts with the international community to secure financial and development support for Palestine, develop a mechanism for financial sustainability, and reduce reliance on tax revenues. He also stressed the need to pressure Israel to release withheld Palestinian tax funds and cease all illegal deductions. Achieving financial stability is crucial for guaranteeing economic and social security for our people. Finally, PM Mustafa emphasized the importance of partnership with the private sector in supporting the government's efforts to overcome the current fiscal crisis and achieve economic recovery across all sectors.
