Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office - Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa discussed with the Dutch Special Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs in Gaza, Ambassador Marjanne de Kwaasteniet, the urgent need for amplifying efforts and scaling up coordination to increase the flow of humanitarian and medical aid to the Gaza Strip through all available channels; as well as exerting pressure to open more crossings into the besieged enclave.

During a meeting at his office in Ramallah, Mustafa reaffirmed the importance of close coordination with the government and relevant ministries to effectively utilize available resources and address the immediate and urgent needs of the Palestinian people in Gaza. He underscored the necessity of pressing for increased aid entry, whether through the Jordanian corridor or via the West Bank into Gaza, ensuring that assistance effectively reaches all areas of the Strip.

The Prime Minister briefed the Dutch envoy on the government’s ongoing efforts and plans for relief, reconstruction, and revitalization in Gaza. These include re-integrating and reunifying institutions, restoring essential services, through coordination with the World Bank, the European Union, and international donors.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Social Development Samah Hamad, Minister of State for Relief Affairs Basil Nasser, and the Netherlands Representative to Palestine, Michel Rentenaar.
