New York – Prime Minister’s Office - Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, met separately, with the Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo, New Zealand's Foreign Minister Winston Peters, Foreign Minister of Canada Mélanie Joly, and Foreign Minister of Sweden Maria Malmer Stenergard, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

During the meetings, Mustafa discussed efforts to halt the Israeli genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the escalating Israeli occupation’s aggression in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. He also emphasized the need to open border crossings with the Gaza Strip to ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to meet the urgent needs across the entire Strip, as well as supporting Palestine's efforts to obtain full UN membership.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of implementing the United Nations General Assembly resolution, which is based on the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), to end the occupation and realize the establishment of the Palestinian state.

Additionally, Mustafa discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the State of Palestine and these countries at both official and popular levels, calling on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to recognize it, in order to support the two-state solution and the establishment of the independent Palestinian state.

The meetings were attended by Palestine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, Minister of Planning Wael Zaqout, Palestine's Ambassador to Canada Mona Abu Amara, Ambassador Omar Awadallah, and Ambassador Majed Bamya.
