Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office - Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, stressed the need for immediate and intensified efforts to alleviate the worsening humanitarian crisis and improve conditions on the ground in Gaza amidst the escalating Israeli aggression, particularly in the northern Gaza Strip.

During his meeting held in Ramallah with various UN, international, and local humanitarian organizations operating in the State of Palestine, the Prime Minister urged for increased pressure to open all Gaza border crossings to ensure the swift and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid.

Mustafa emphasized the need for concrete mechanisms to protect aid workers, relief convoys, and field teams operating in the war-ravaged Strip. He stressed that ensuring safe and effective aid distribution to all areas of Gaza is a collective responsibility that all relevant parties must shoulder.

Highlighting the necessity of enhanced coordination, Dr. Mustafa underscored the importance of advancing coordination between all Palestinian national institutions, ministries working in humanitarian and relief sectors, and international organizations—especially UN agencies, to ensure the maximization of all joint efforts. He called for utilizing the Ministry of Social Development’s family registry system to guarantee the fair distribution of aid.

To further bolster relief efforts and ensure the provision of essential services, Mustafa noted the formation of a national team comprising various Palestinian institutions, including the ministries of Social Development, Health, Relief Affairs, Education, and Transportation, alongside the Palestinian Red Crescent and the Refugee Affairs Department of the PLO.

 “The ongoing genocidal war against our people in Gaza persists due to the absence of any deterrent for Israel to stop its war, which aims to annihilate our people, destroy the very foundations of life in the Strip, and obliterate the Palestinian cause and national project of realizing the establishment of the independent Palestinian State,” stated Mustafa.

The Prime Minister also expressed profound appreciation to all international and humanitarian organizations, as well as the field teams on the ground, for their tireless, tremendous and remarkable efforts in supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Social Development in Ramallah, in the presence of Minister of Social Development Samah Hamad and Minister of State for Relief Affairs Basil Nasser, was also attended by key representatives from various humanitarian organizations, including the Humanitarian Coordinator and Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Muhannad Hadi, UNICEF, Action Against Hunger, ANERA, UNRWA, OCHA, WFP, UNDP, ILO, UNFPA, UNOPS, Catholic Relief Services, and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
