Ramallah, Prime Minister's Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa met today, Tuesday, in his office in Ramallah, with British Minister for Development, Women, and Equalities, Anneliese Dodds, in the presence of Palestinian Minister for Women’s Affairs, Mona Khalili. The meeting focused on enhancing humanitarian relief efforts and international support to end the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. 

The Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need for serious and effective international pressure to halt the aggression on Gaza, which is facing catastrophic conditions due to the closure of most border crossings, the disruption of aid entry, and the collapse of essential services, including healthcare, water, sanitation, and electricity. 

Dr. Mustafa highlighted that the Government has put in place plans for early recovery and reconstruction, as well as intensifying efforts in Gaza once the aggression ends. These plans include restoring essential services, providing emergency relief, unifying institutions, empowering the private sector, and providing temporary housing, all leading to comprehensive reconstruction. 

He firmly rejected all occupation plans to reoccupy and divide Gaza, or establish buffer zones, stressing the necessity of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2735 to halt the aggression and ensure the immediate and unhindered delivery of aid to the Palestinian people.

Mustafa also urged the UK to recognize the State of Palestine as a step toward preserving the two-state solution, ending the occupation, and realizing the establishment of the independent Palestinian state. 

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the UK for its relief and humanitarian support for Gaza, as well as its financial and developmental support, and efforts in institutional reform. 

For her part, Minister Dodds expressed rejection of the restrictions on aid access to Gaza, emphasized the urgencnt need to achieve a ceasefire, and highlighted the need to provide emergency relief and aid to the people of Gaza. She also expressed rejection of Israeli actions and settler violence in the West Bank.

Dodds reaffirmed the UK's commitment to supporting Palestine, including assisting the Palestinian government in implementing its institutional reform program.
