Ramallah, Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, Tuesday, condemned and unequivocally rejected all aggressive Israeli measures, the latest of which includes the assault on Jenin city and its refugee camp, as well as the installation of new iron gates to isolate Palestinian towns and villages. He noted that instructions have been issued to all Palestinian embassies and missions to urgently address representatives of various states, urging immediate action to halt the illegal measures and attacks by the Israeli occupation and settlers.”

“We convene today at a critical moment in the history of our just cause, as our resilient people continue to write new chapters of steadfastness and defiance in the face of the relentless aggression machine and its unlawful decisions. Amid these circumstances, settlers persist in their acts of vandalism, spreading destruction and setting fire to our villages with impunity, emboldened by the support of their right-wing government,” said the Prime Minister at the outset of the weekly Cabinet session held in Ramallah.

The Prime Minister called for a complete cessation of aggression and a full ceasefire in Gaza, which has endured and continues to endure the most heinous humanitarian crimes. He stressed that a full withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip is a political, legal, and humanitarian demand that cannot be compromised.

Mustafa reaffirmed President Mahmoud Abbas's position that Gaza has never been, and will never be, separate from the State of Palestine. It is a cherished and integral part of our homeland. He emphasized the sovereignty of the State of Palestine over Gaza and the entire Palestinian Territory, underlining the unity of national institutions and rejecting any attempt by any party to seize any part of Palestinian land or displace our people.

The Prime Minister highlighted that from the very onset of this Israeli brutal aggression, President Abbas launched intensive diplomatic efforts, engaging with regional and international actors and approaching the UN Security Council and General Assembly. These efforts culminated in significant resolutions, most notably Resolution 2735, which calls for an immediate ceasefire, the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid, the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from Gaza, and affirming the State of Palestine's full responsibility over the Strip.

Dr. Mustafa reiterated that the Government is entirely prepared and capable of assuming this responsibility, and is fully ready, in partnership with various partners, to restore life to Gaza. He underscored the Government's administrative and humanitarian readiness to undertake reconstruction efforts, restore essential services such as water and electricity, facilitate the return of displaced Palestinians to their homes, and fully manage and secure border crossings.

He reaffirmed President Abbas's call for a comprehensive political solution to end this decades-long conflict, emphasizing that our vision has always been realistic, rooted in international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, and calling for an international conference that recognizes a fully sovereign and unified Palestinian state with full UN membership, and with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the June 4, 1967 borders.

Mustafa stressed that our cause is just, our resolve is unwavering, and our rights will not be lost, urging continued struggle and raising our voices until Palestine is free, independent, and its people live in dignity and security in their independent state.

Under the permanent agenda item on Gaza, the Cabinet reviewed ongoing interventions across various sectors, and issued directives and instructions to the Government emergency operations room for Gaza, focusing on relief efforts and reviving production in the Strip, along with restoring essential services.

The cabinet also tasked the Emergency Affairs Ministerial Committee with enhancing its interventions in areas targeted by the Israeli occupation army and settlers to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
