PM Mustafa discusses efforts to halt Israeli aggression and deliver aid to Gaza with Iraqi and Egyptian FMs

BAGHDAD, May 15, 2025 | Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammad Mustafa held separate meetings on Thursday with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atty, on the sidelines of the ministerial preparatory meeting for the upcoming Arab Summit scheduled for Saturday in Baghdad.

During the meetings, Prime Minister Mustafa briefed the two officials on the latest developments in Palestine, particularly the Israeli ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the continued aggression by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers across the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

Discussions also focused on preparations for the 34th session of the Arab Summit, as well as efforts to mobilize international pressure on Israel to end its aggression, allow the entry of humanitarian and relief aid into the Strip, and advance concrete steps for the Implementation of Gaza’s reconstruction plan immediately after the aggression is brought to an end.

The meetings also addressed several issues of mutual concern and coordination ahead of the summit.
