RAMALLAH, October 2, 2025 | Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa discussed on Thursday with his Dutch counterpart Dick Schoof, the latest developments in Palestine in light of Israel’s ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and the continued assaults by Israeli occupation forces and settlers across the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

In a phone call, Prime Minister Mustafa expressed appreciation for the Netherlands’ stance calling for an end to the war and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip, as well as for the measures it has taken against settlements and settler violence, its support for the two-State solution, and the New York Declaration.

The Prime Minister also discussed with Schoof the importance of the Netherlands recognizing the State of Palestine and joining the growing number of countries that have done so in order to preserve the two-State solution.

Mustafa further called on the Netherlands to join the Emergency Financing Mechanism for Palestine, exert pressure on Israel to release the Palestinian funds it continues to illegally withhold, and support the Government’s efforts to implement its reform and institutional development program.

He also emphasized the importance of convening the Joint Committee between the two countries at the earliest opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation across all fields, and stressed the need to support UNRWA and ensure the continuation of its essential services to Palestine refugees.
