RAMALLAH, October 12, 2025 | Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa discussed, on Sunday, with the European Union Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Christophe Bigot, intensifying joint efforts and greater engagement in preparations for the next phase following a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Stephan Salameh.

During the meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of international support for Palestine’s efforts to unify institutions between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as part of the broader process of realizing the State of Palestine on the ground. He also emphasized the critical need to press Israel to release withheld Palestinian funds and to halt its ongoing attacks in the West Bank, including in Jerusalem.

For his part, Bigot reaffirmed the European Union’s support for efforts toward relief, recovery, and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, as well as the resumption of the European Union Border Assistance Mission for the Rafah Crossing Point, and expressed the EU’s continued support for the Palestinian Government’s reform and institutional development efforts.
