RAMALLAH, November 7, 2025 | Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa stressed on Friday the need for concerted international support to enable the State of Palestine to fully assume its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, restore unity with the West Bank, and ensure that international efforts strengthen – rather than substitute – the State of Palestine in administering the Strip.

During his meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah, Mustafa underscored the importance of intensifying international pressure on Israel to halt its escalating measures in the occupied West Bank — including the attacks carried out by occupation forces and settlers, the expansion of military checkpoints and movement restrictions, and the continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues. He also emphasized the need to sustain the ceasefire in Gaza and to accelerate relief and reconstruction efforts.

The Prime Minister discussed with Minister van Weel ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Palestine and the Netherlands, expressing appreciation for the Netherlands’ continued support to the State of Palestine at all levels — both bilaterally and through the European Union — including its backing of the New York Declaration and the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, as well as its ongoing humanitarian and relief assistance to the Palestinian people.

For his part, Minister van Weel reaffirmed his country’s support for efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, and halt Israeli occupation measures in the West Bank. He reiterated the Netherlands’ position in support of the role of the Palestinian National Authority in Gaza and the restoration of unity with the West Bank within the framework of achieving the two-State solution.
