Prime Minister Mustafa participates in the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos

DAVOS, January 20, 2026 | Prime Minister’s Office — Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa participated in the opening of the 2026 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, held in the Swiss city of Davos from 19 to 23 January, under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue.” He was accompanied by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Switzerland and Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Ibrahim Khraishi.

The Forum brings together leaders from more than 60 countries and governments, alongside over 800 representatives of international organizations and major global corporations, to discuss pressing global political, economic, and security challenges.

Prime Minister Mustafa began his participation by attending the opening session alongside heads of participating delegations. The session featured keynote addresses by World Economic Forum President Børge Brende and the President of the Swiss Confederation, who addressed the latest international developments and underscored the importance of joint international action to ensure political and economic stability and global security.

During the Forum, Prime Minister Mustafa is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings aimed at mobilizing international support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people. He will also take part in a special dialogue session focusing on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the next phase, the peace process, the risks of economic collapse in Palestine as a result of Israeli occupation measures, developments in the West Bank, and the Palestinian Government’s ongoing efforts in development, modernization, and institutional reform.
