Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office – Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa reiterated the importance of coordinating efforts among all international partners, donors, and UN agencies along with the government in order to ensure early recovery and address the urgent humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people brought about by Israel’s war of genocide on Gaza and its ramifications in the West Bank. Furthermore, he stressed the necessity of ensuring aid delivery to those in need and avoiding effort duplication.

During a meeting with international partners at his office in Ramallah, Mustafa stressed that the day following the cessation of war should mark a unified Palestine under a single authority and government. He further emphasized the importance of working with international partners as one cohesive team with a unified plan; rejecting any uncharted transitional period that could result in greater chaos and complexity.

Mustafa underscored that the government has been responsible for Gaza ever since the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority, and has been providing services to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, including health, education, water, electricity, and many other services. “Despite Israel's continued illegal deductions from Palestinian tax funds, the government remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities towards Gaza,” he emphasized.

The international partners, in response, affirmed their support for the government's vision working together and coordinating efforts in the areas of early recovery, humanitarian relief, and reconstruction. They expressed their rejection of Israel’s occupation of Gaza, and reiterated their unwavering support for achieving the two-state solution.

The meeting included the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland; the UN Deputy Special Coordinator, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Muhannad Hadi; EU Representative to Palestine, Alexandre Stutzmann; German Representative to Palestine, Oliver Owcza; British Consul-General in Jerusalem, Diane Corner; French Consul-General in Jerusalem, Nicolas Kassianides; Norwegian Representative to Palestine, Torunn Viste; Dutch Deputy Representative to Palestine, Benjamin Anker; World Bank Country Director for West Bank and Gaza, Stefan Emblad; USAID Mission Director in Palestine, Amy Tohill-Stull; Head of Economic and Development Cooperation Section at the Representative office of Japan to Palestine, Tabuchi Yusuke; and Head of Cooperation at Representative Office of Canada to Palestine Cooperation Officer, Catherine Palmier.

From the Palestinian side, the meeting was attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Wael Zagout; Minister of Social Development, Samah Hamad; and Minister of State for Relief Affairs, Basil Nasser.
