Ramallah – Prime Minister’s Office - Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, discussed with the British Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Hamish Falconer, the latest developments in the region, advancing efforts to stop the Israeli occupation aggression against the Palestinian people, and increasing relief and humanitarian aid delivery into Gaza to meet the urgent needs there.

During their phone call, Mustafa called on the British government to take decisive and effective actions against Israeli settlement expansion and settler terrorism.

The Prime Minister expressed appreciation to Britain for its recent joint statement with France and Germany, which underscored the need for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded access for humanitarian aid into Gaza. Mustafa also welcomed the British government’s reinstated support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), and its provision of humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

For his part, Falconer stressed the need for a ceasefire in the Strip, voicing concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza and the potential for further escalation in the region.
